Ralph & Russo Fall 2014 Couture

It's Couture Monday here again and we welcome the new week with the exquisite Fall/Winter 2014 collection by Ralph & Russo. The Australian-born, British-based duo were inspired by photographer Massimo Listri, who has made an astounding art of capturing interiors. Attention to detail is profound and no (gem)stone has been left unturned to create this outstanding range.

Intricate embellishments and curlicue embroideries are composed across the palest white and lavender gowns (Set 1 & 2). Lush chiffon and silk crepe gowns sweep the floor with unconfined femininity and grace, glittered with sparkling crystals that attract the light like a camera lens (Set 3 & 4). Navy blue tulle dresses boast prodigious circle skirts (Set 5), whilst perspex and velvet floral appliqués bloom across deep plum dresses (Set 6).

The marbled and arched subjects of Listri's work can be seen via the exceptional curvature and construction of these couture masterpieces. Structured duchess satin gowns dramatically fill the stage with voluminous skirts that rise and fall in rhythmic ruffles and swirls in Set 9.

Ralph & Russo bridge the gap between the rigidity of architecture and the eloquence of evening wear. This is a look at their sensational Fall/Winter 2014 Couture collection.

Georges Hobeika Fall 2014 Couture

Couture Season is upon us again and where better to begin than the atelier of Lebanese designer Georges Hobeika. He takes a page out of the Impressionist era for Fall 2014, inspired by the florid works of Claude Monet. Hand embroidered flowers burgeoned upon an aquatic blue set of dresses, polished off in burnished metallics in turquoise and aquamarine.

Lace, chiffon, tulle and organza added drama to the weighty dresses with exaggerated hoop skirts, all decadently shimmering with ornate beadwork. Bodices where corseted and skirts were flaired out, revering the feminine silhouette. Glazed chocolate brown, mink and dainty cream gowns were intricately embellished in column and mermaid shapes.

A blaze of cherry red gowns commanded attention with sweeping skirts and beautifully designed necklines. Floor-gliding capes and cropped textured boleros wrapped up the exquisite cocktail looks and jumpsuits. Kiddie couture dresses provided a quaint touch to this outstanding range.

This is the gracefully breathtaking Georges Hobeika Fall 2014 Couture Collection.

Ziad Nakad Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2014

Contrary to popular non-fashion blogger belief - there can Never be too many pretty dresses. Ever. And Lebanese designer Ziad Nakad has proven just that with his breathtaking treasury of couture gowns for Fall/Winter 2014. In a world where only 2% of the population can afford such lavish decadence, I am convinced that this collection should be part of that splendor.

A ruby reverie fires up this exquisite range with crystal drizzled evening dresses that accentuate the female form in all the right places. Mermaid dresses are unsparingly embellished with intricate beadwork and dainty floral embroideries. The volume of detail involved in each dress is profound, Nakad's complex sense of design and use of opulent fabrics create an equipoise of sensual glamour and regal sophistication.

Sapphire, violet and emerald gowns enrich the jewel themed collection, with softer hues present in mint, lilac, ivory and gold. Sheer tulle and chiffon are heavily contrasted with densely sparkled droplets that have been hand-beaded onto low-neck bodices and fishtail skirts. Ziad Nakad propels the art of couture into a new state of grace.

The WhitePepper Fall/Winter 2013

British fashion label The WhitePepper lays down a square foundation for Fall/Winter 2013. Influenced by pixels, grids and geometric shapes, this indie brand brings us a fresh and youthful range of street wear where chic simplicity reigns. The WhitePepper has been favored by Grazia, Glamour and Look magazines for their affordability and ability to instantly update your wardrobe with just one piece.

This season, fashion and functionality meet on the corner of clean lines and classic silhouettes, where volume is key. Prints are trendily set in black and white checks, navy and burgundy plaid and leopard print. Pastel pink babydoll frocks and timeless black and cream shifts are delightfully styled with quirky unicorn bags, cartoon glasses and gem sparkled tights. The WhitePepper have also added shoes to their list of design talents, with chunky leather loafers, cut-out brogues and platform ankle boots adding a heavyweight contrast to the feminine midi skirts and floaty smock dresses.

This is a look into The WhitePepper's charming Fall/Winter 2013-14 collection.

Poca & Poca Fall/Winter 2013

We all need a fairy tale moment in the middle of an ordinary day, and if we can't have the diamond tiaras, high tea's and lavish palaces, the least we can have are a few pieces from the Poca & Poca FW13 collection. My favourite Polish brand never fails to deliver on the princess appeal, and this season they do just so with savoir faire and a hint of magic.

What I love about Poca & Poca is that they stick to what they are best at, regardless of runway trends - this means whimsical and interestingly crafted silhouettes with volumized skirts, floaty butterfly sleeves, delicate peplums and sumptuous silk and satin blouses.

This season, ladylike skirts are in midi lengths with gauzy layers of viscose and tulle. Pockets and shoulders are exaggerated by pretty ruffles, and pants are ruched with high waists and cropped hems. The jumpsuit appears in its daintiest form, accented by organza frills. Amidst the white capes, dusty blue dresses, pink skirts and peach pants, we are also delighted with bronzed metallics, tangy orange and emerald green outfits.

This is a view into Poca & Poca's sublime Fall/Winter 2013 collection.
