Midnight Sparkle
Outfit Post by Raysa

My cousin Raysa and I recently attended a close family wedding, and I thought to would be the perfect opportunity to do an outfit post. But as luck would have it, All our cameras completely gave up on us. And I don't think the professional wedding photographer would have been too thrilled nor interested in snapping our little photo shoot. Thankfully, her iPhone came to the rescue - hence the slight blurriness of the pictures, but she looked exquisite nonetheless. Most of the weddings we attend usually call for formal black tie attire. Ray wears a midnight blue sequined column gown with cap sleeves, which she had custom made.

She Wears:

*A midnight blue fully sequined evening gown made by a local South African designer.
*Beaded gold and navy necklace - Accessorize
*Teal and gold crystal embellished bag - Accessorize
*Teal suede heels - Woolworths department store

*Special Thanks to Raysa for partaking in this outfit post.

Printed Palazzo
Outfit Post by Raysa

My cousin Raysa has taken time off from her exams to do another snazzy style shoot for my blog. She has brightly taken to the orange pop trend that's been prevailing. Ray pairs her classic coral Zara blouse with a pair of printed palazzo pants, which if you're over 1.75m, is an effortlessly chic fashion feat to accomplish. Would you wear a pair of wide-legged pants?

She Wears:

Bright Orange Blouse - Zara
Geometric print palazzo pants - Topshop
Orange flower topped flats - Liu Jo
Gold leaf bracelet - Lovisa.co.au

Orange blouse by Theory at Farfetch.com $122

Gold leaf bracelet - Collette by Collette Dinnigan At Lovisa.co.au $16.99
Coral plastic flower sandals - Mel Shoes by Melissa £25

*Special thanks to Raysa for the photos and for participating in this outfit post.

Tribal Style
Outfit Post by Raysa

Of all the outfit posts that my cousin Ray has done for my blog, this was the first one where I was the designated photographer. I didn't realize how tricky it was being behind the camera and now I know how challenging it can for fashion bloggers to find the right lighting, location and background. I also discovered it takes some talent achieving those natural, professional looking poses. My respect for all of you who do this everyday just went up by a 100 points.

We shot these photos at a countryside lodge during a family reunion. Ray went for a vibrant look in cobalt blue and sunflower yellow. She styled her buttoned-back blouse with a colourful tribal inspired paisley print skirt, accessorizing with a bright yellow statement necklace.

 She Wears:

Cobalt blue blouse - Zara
Scarf print maxi skirt - Mango
Yellow beaded necklace - Lovisa
Watch - Marc Jacobs

The 'Spencer Hastings' Look
by Ray

Ray's outfit is inspired by Spencer Hastings, who you may know from the TV popular series 'Pretty Little Liars'. Spencer, played by Troian Bellisario is noted for her layering of feminine and masculine pieces in neutral colours. Her style is the epitome of classic and preppy.

Colour Blocked
Outfit Post by Ray
My cousin Ray displays a cool and vibrant colour-blocked outfit perfect for the hot South African summer we're having. I wish I could also pull off a pair of palazzo's this well - but I don't meet the height requirement. Think I'd look like a pixie that drowned in oversized pants :o

She Wears:
Electric blue palazzo pants - Woolworths
A sunny yellow top - Express
Emerald green chain handle bag - Forever New
Crystal studded perspex shoes - Aldo

Floral Coral
Outfit Post by Ray
I asked my darling cousin Ray to share another outfit post for my blog. I'm thankful she obliged, but unfortunately her designated photographer (aka 'little brother') was mysteriously on sick leave. I think maybe he is 'sick' of us two dragging him into fashion shoots, getting him unwillingly involved, all without pay. Little brothers...gotta love 'em & bribe them ;) From these photos, it seems she's found a temporary replacement.

She Wears:

Coral self-printed top - Forever New
Denim blue skinny jeans
Turquoise shoulder bag with tan straps - Gorgeous
Floral sequined brogues - Forever 21
Metallic headband - Forever 21

Love these brogues, if she were my size I would've stolen them by now.

*Special Thanks to Raysa for the outfit photos.

Why Oh Why Polka Dots
Outfit Post by Ray
My dearest cousin Ray has agreed to do another outfit post for my blog. Now, she is well aware of my long-standing polka dot phobia (do not laugh - it's a real thing), but she nonetheless sent me these photos of her cute but very polka dotted dress. I have a feeling she is trying to stage some sort of intervention - in order to convert me into a fellow dot devotee. I don't think there's a 'spot' of hope for that ever happening ;)

She Wears:
Tan and white polka dot top, with belt - Pull & Bear
Black skinnies - French Connection
Black mock croc sling bag - Aldo
Black brogues - Express (similar pair available at Aldo)

*Muchas Gracias Ray!
