Mulberry Resort 2012 'Neely' Dress
Two 'Snow White' stars spotted in one Mulberry dress...but who is the fairest of them all? Lily Collins and Kristen Stewart have both recently acted as the fairytale character 'Snow White', in two very different adaptions of the legendary story. Lily stars as Snow White in the lighthearted and cutely romantic 'Mirror Mirror', while Kristen plays the lead in the slightly darker version, 'Snow White and the Huntsmen', due for release in June.
The fair maidens now face off in the same hazy blue Mulberry 'Neely' dress, which is from the label's Resort 2012 collection.
Lily Collins showed off a more feminine side to the blue watercolour print dress, at the Coachella Music Festival held last weekend (15 April 2012). Lily went for a more casual look, pairing her dress with beige Mulberry bow-stiched ballerina pumps and a black 'Lily' tassel bag, also from the British brand.

Kristen Stewart was the first to wear the 'Neely' dress, back in September 2011 at London Fashion Week. The raven-haired actress accented her waist with the belt from the original look, which also lifts up the hemline. Kristen added her usual edge with a pair of black buckle ankle boots, courtesy of Mulberry. Both ladies wore their hair down similarly.
Dutch model Patricia van der Vliet is pictured in the dress for the Mulberry Resort 2012 presentation. She is styled with a black Mulberry Alexa oversized satchel, printed ankle-strap wedges and black pull-up socks.
As for who wore it better, it's difficult choice...and I'm not trying to get out of picking a side, but I actually prefer this dress as it was shown originally on the model. I liked the quirky appeal of the socks and sandals and the striking buckle bag. The Mulberry 'Neely' dress costs £550 / $865 and can be purchased from mulberry.com
Who do you think wore it better, and more importantly...which actress do you prefer as 'Snow White'?

Hey, Sam!!
How are you, sweetie??
First thing, j'adore the dress!! Then, Kristen's way of wearing it is the fairest one to me. I like the tough touch of her booties to cut the sweetness. Haven't seen either of the films yet, but, as a movies buff, I hope to do it soon!
Have a wonderful week!!
XOXO,
María José

I love the dress and it's definitely a tough choice who wore it best! I'm leaning towards K.Stew though!
Hope you have a wonderful start to the new week as well :)

I actually like the dress on Kristen. I like how the belt fits on and her shoes. I haven't seen the movies either but I know that Mirror Mirror is comedy based while Kristen's is more serious so I'll go with the Mirror Mirror's Snow White!
I haven`t seen the movie, but the dress looks better in the first photo. Mainly because I don`t like Kirsten, and i don`t like blondes very much)
>'.'<
This is adorable on both of them - but I like Kristen's look better!
I think I prefer the more laid back Lily Collins version - though I would pair with the heel version of her flats. As to your second question... I don't know - am looking forward to seeing both versions! Hope you had a fab weekend!
Hey Sam! Kristen Stewart I think did a good job with this look. Love the belt and boots!

I haven't seen either movie, but the one with Kristen Stewart looks much better. However, in terms of the dress, I think I like Lily Collins better.
What a cute dress and I love the one on Patricia, Great post,

Mirror can best judge who is the fairest:) Nice one Sam!
I love it on Kristen ! those black boots are hot :)

Really hard to choose, I kind of like Kristen's look more than the model's though, but they kind of wear the dress in a similar way. Hard to choose!

They both looked great but I'm gonna have to go with Kristen...i love the edgy feel to it.

Kristen of course ;)
Kristen Stewart rocked it. Cute dress.
I like the resort campaign :)
Hope you have a great week Sam xxx
I believe Kristen Steward wore the dress better... it looks so cool with black boots and the belt!

...Kristen Stewart!
I'm back! I missed reading your blogs and missed you very much!
So now I have to choose... mmmhh... I don't know, really. I liked the version with the belt, but not the black boots, in fact. Then I liked the romantc shoes, with bows... I think a combination of both would be my choice!
wow, what a beautiful dress. I think Kristin wore it the best way :)

I like Kristen look better! It's more modern and fun, Lily's is way too sweet and girly for me. But all in all beautiful ladies;)

hey, dear Sam :)
i like the first combination, she wears it in a way that I probably would! Dress is amazing + I'm the biggest fan of flats...so first combination is my choice!
And Lily Collins is the sweetest Snow White ever :)
sending you bunch of kisses :*

The printed dress is so cute. Great post, dear. Thanks for your sweet comment, hope to see you back soon.

Not her biggest fan, but I would have to say Kristen. :) x
Have a lovely week. ♥
Kristen Stewart rocked it !!!
Kisses, Alexandra
I haven't seen the movie!

Lily's version is too sweet for me. But I guess they are both styled so differently. It's no mean coincident that their styling corresponds to the kind of character they play in the respective Snow White movies.
I like it best on Lily - I like the relaxed vibe she has going on :)
cute <3
me encanta kristen!! besits

I haven't seen "Mirror Mirror", but I'm curious about it.
Besides that, I wonder - was it really necessary two movies with the same story to be made, in the same gracious Hollywood year? When people go to see "Snow White and the Huntsmen", they will exclaim: "Alas, I have already seen this movie, just 3 months ago! It's called Mirror Mirror!".
Same thing happened last year, with "Friends with Benefits" and "No Strings Attached" -- 2 movies, same story, same year. Boring...
Hi honey, hope you had a lovely weekend. Thank you for your comment,it meant a lot. I adore this Mulberry dress and i have to say i am in agreement with your choice on whit wore it best. The original styling has a great quirky edge, where as the other two gave it a predictability which is never very appealing! :)
Take care,Daniella xox
I agree with you. The dress looks the best on the original model. I'm curios how Kristen will do in this movie with such stars around her. I guess we will see!! Have a great day!

I'm liking Lily Collins the best :) Love the way she kept the dress drop-waisted and soft, it looks so romantic!

I really like the dress, but I hate Kristen Stewart :D
I can't believe they're both playing Snow White this year and are both wearing the same dress. I think Kristen wore it better because I like it belted.
Didn't see "Mirror, Mirror" but I can't wait to see "Snow White and the Huntsman." That looks awesome and I'm not even a K-Stew fan (going for Chris Hemsworth) ;)
I like it better on Kristen because she's wearing a belt. It's pretty shapeless on Lilly without the belt, but Kristen saw that it needed a belt. And I like her shoes better with it
xoxo Sootjeelina <3
Tough choice.. I wish Lily had also put a belt or something, to give a little bit more waist / hourglass.. Love her accessories more, but the look of the dress on Kirsten more. I haven't seen the movies, but trailer of Kirsten as Snow White was GREAT. The special effects, drama.. And the other seems a little more.. childrens movie? I don't know, but those covers are a lot more like that.

Kristen! I like how she toughened it up a bit with the black boots and belt ;)

Haven't seen the movies yet, so I can't comment on them, but as for the dress ... I'm with you, I'm going with the original model. Lily Collins looks sweet in the dress too, but as much as I like Kristen, I think the black boots interrupt the line of the leg with the dress, making her appear chopped. It's always fun to comment on a who wore it best! Have a lovely week, sweets!

Kristen looks better, in my opinion :)
Regrettably, I'm going to have to go with Kristen on both of them. The outfit only because she belted it, and the movie just because Mirror, Mirror look so horrible

I think Kristen Stewart wore the dresse the best!
You have an amazing blog!

So pretty dress!! I love how Lily make it look casual chic, and Kristen glams it up! ^_^
I think I like Kristen's more edgy take on the dress but Lily also rocks it!
xo Gillie
haha oh my goodness I always agree with you on this! I like the way the model wore it because the socks look pretty cool. I want to watch both movies then decide which actress I like better as snow white :)
what a coincidence, they both has kissed Taylor Lautner hahaha
my fave snow white is Lily, but i think this look didn't look flattering on her since it looks kind of long. meanwhile, Kristen knew hot to make the dress look "good girl gone bad" i love the booties and the length is perfect for her!
