Who Wore H&M Conscious Collection Better?

Who Wore It Better?
H&M Conscious Collection Dress

If you live anywhere near an H&M store, you would have been witness to the exciting launch of their 2014 Conscious Collection, where sustainable materials are key in creating exquisite designs that are within a reasonable price range. This light beige lace dress is one of the most popular looks from the collection, boasting femininity and grace for all ages and shapes.

It is plain to see why this dress and the complimenting shoulder embellishment are currently sold out online and in many of the H&M stores - it looks designer made, it is decadently pretty and seems far more expensive than it actually is.

Five different celebrities were already spotted out wearing this luxurious lace look.

1. Jennifer Lopez wore the dainty cream dress for an appearance on American Idol last week. The Latina star kept her styling simple with gold bangles and Ivy Kirzhner cream and gold platform pumps. JLo's hair was combed in a half-up, half-down do.
2. Sophia Bush wore the same H&M Conscious Collection dress almost a month earlier in March 2014. The brunette actress paired her high-neck dress with a rhinestone studded shoulder decoration, also from the brand. Nude shoes, a silver grey clutch and girly curls style her outfit.
3. German model Franziska Knuppe pulled her hair up in a ballet bun to highlight the elaborate beaded neckpiece attached to this delicate ivory A-line dress. She accessorized with tan peep-toe heels and a nude bag.
4. Supermodel Alek Wek wore the same lace and organic cotton blend dress for an H&M outing last week, combining her fetching look with gold sequin and bead embroidered leather sandals that are also part of the H&M Conscious Collection.
5. The first person to be seen in the charming lace frock was Jessica Alba at Paris Fashion Week in February 2014. The starlet gave her look an edge with black tights and platform pumps.

Veteran model Amber Valletta fronts the 2014 H&M Conscious Collection Campaign, pictured in the creamy lace scalloped-hem, long-sleeved dress, which retails for $249. The dress is accessorized with a rhinestone decorated neckpiece that costs $149.

As for 'Who Wore It Better?', I think both Jennifer Lopez and Alek Wek wear this dress beautifully, without the high neckline being too overwhelming. I also liked the fit of the sleeves on Alek. Do you think this dress needs the beaded shoulder ornamentation?

Who Wore Christian Dior Better?

Who Wore It Better?
Christian Dior
FW12 Pink Midi Dress

I thought we had seen the last of Christian Dior's pink midi FW12 dress, but turns out, this lace & chiffon stunner had one more outing to make. Already worn four times before on the red carpet, this fluorescent pink Dior dress is proving to be look that's well worth recycling.

Canadian model Kate King walked the Christian Dior Fall/Winter 2012 runway in this ravishing watermelon pink dress, along with nude ankle-strap shoes.

1. Actress Krysten Ritter was the first to wear the lace long-sleeved Dior frock. Krysten went the risqué route and kept the skirt sheer. I wish she had lined her dress, as the black knickers are quite distracting. Grey strappy Jimmy Choo shoes and clutch styled her outfit.
2. Australian singer Delta Goodrem brought a romantic touch to the hot pink Dior dress with a pretty floral crown. A matching clutch and nude ballet pumps accessorized her look. Apparently Delta was nursing a foot injury at the time, hence her shoe choice.

3. Asian songstress Kelly Chan imparts a sense of sophistication to the Christian Dior dress with a black sparkly bag and nude cross-strap Dior shoes.
4. Most recently, British pop singer Sophie Ellis Bextor pulled the frock out of the Dior archives for a red carpet appearance just last week. Sophie added a black clutch and pumps to her look. I find the bodice slightly too big on her.

The Christian Dior lace and pleated dress also graced many-a-fashion magazine. From top left, Bella Heathcote in Vogue Australia, Megan Hilty in Vegas Magazine, Marion Cotillard in Elle South Africa and Milla Jovovich in Tatler Russia.

Who Wore It Better?

It's a tricky dress to wear and each of these ladies have brought something different to it. While none are ideal, my vote would go somewhere in between Delta and Kelly's looks.
I am interested to hear your thoughts...Who do you think wore it best?

The RVN 'It' Dress

One of this season's most popular dress comes in a fitted mini silhouette, with a trendy jacquard geo-textured print from New York based brand RVN. The optical illusion dress has been seen on over 15 different starlets (and counting), in a range of duo-tone shades.

Besides just celebrities, this prismatic print dress has been a massive hit with the average girl as well, being sold out on several websites and also a favored choice at Rent The Runway. Click on the links to see how stylish everyday fashionista's wore their RVN 'It' dress. For $75, you too can rent a part of this geometric fashion frenzy.

RVN's Geo Signature bodycon dress retails for $395,
It is sold in four sizes and three colour combinations.
It comes in both a round high-neckline with cap sleeves and with a strappy crew neck.

Who Wore RVN Better?

The Black & White Edition

The black & white version of the RVN geometric print jacquard dress has been the most popular with celebrities. Each of them selected to style their mini with slight variation. Cher Lloyd went for a Christian Louboutin Mary-Jane flower pump and pop of red with an Onch poison apple necklace. Both Kristin Chenoweth and Tiffani Thiessen opted for open-toe booties, while Smash star Megan Hilty wore peep toe sandals. Rumer Willis picked a pair of cap-toed flats to wear with her RVN dress and Jamie Chung wore pointy-toe pumps.

This geo-patterned dress has also been popular on Celebrity's Instagram accounts.
Disney's Zendaya Coleman and Kylie Jenner wore the black and white edition of the fitted mini dress with simple styling, while singer/actress Tamar Braxton paired her scoop-neck, inverted colour version of the dress with a slick black blazer.

The Verdict: I prefer the dress styled by Cher Lloyd, I liked her choice of flower-trimmed shoes and the pop of red with the cute bitten apple necklace.

The Blue & White Edition
Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh teamed her RVN blue & white dress with white sandals.
Jessica Szhor showed off her toned figure in the Aztec inspired look, with black sandals.
Heather Graham took to the streets of Brazil in her RVN mini with bright blue strappy heels.

The Verdict: With a choice of white, black and blue heels, I liked Kimberley's white pair but I prefer the fit of the dress on Jessica. Could they swop shoes perhaps?

The Orange & Black Edition
Songstress Amy Heidemann wears the orange and black version of the geo-print dress with whimsical feather trimmed heels by Jimmy Choo, black bangles and a clutch bag.
Ashley Tisdale styled the famous RVN frock with black peep-toe sandals & a Prada clutch.
Reality personality Angela Simmons wears the scoop-neck version of this RVN dress with caged Manolo Blahnik sandals.

The Verdict: I like the chic styling of Ashley Tisdale's outfit.

Do you think that this geometric 'It' dress is worth all the hype?
Which colour version and styling do you prefer?

Who Wore Alice + Olivia SS13 Better?

Who Wore It Better?
Alice+ Olivia 'Marla' Dress

The popularity of Alice + Olivia's Spring 2013 collection is unparalleled. This much loved celebrity brand has been the leading choice for many smart-casual red carpet appearances.
In this fashion face-off, we see four young starlets strike their best pose in the Alice + Olivia 'Marla' dress...but who comes out on top?

1. Taylor Swift was the first to debut the dainty metallic brushed ivory dress on the red carpet, back in October 2012. The country star looked poised, pairing it with satin Charlotte Olympia cat-face pumps. A heavy fringe, pulled back hair and red lipstick accompanied her outfit. Something about this look says 'ballerina'.
2. Sarah Hyland picked out the boat-neck dress for a charity event on 6th April 2013. The 'Modern Family' actress wore a pair of black Giuseppe Zanotti bow-adorned peep-toes, and had her hair braided to the side.
3. Cheryl Burke of 'Dancing with the Stars' fame wore the classic cream frock with open back to a movie premiere on 22 April 2013. The professional dancer kept her locks sleek and straight and walked in gold metallic pumps.
4. McKaley Miller wore the exact same dress just a day after Cheryl, to the premiere of her new movie, 'The Iceman'. The young actress tried to give her outfit a more youthful styling with bright coral sandals by Marc by Marc Jacobs, and styled her hair in side-swept curls.

The 'Marla' dress by Alice + Olivia is currently available for $597

This is a classically elegant dress, and I think it's almost impossible to go wrong with it as a red carpet choice. Since the dress is quite similarly styled on all of them, it all comes down to the shoe. My favourite of the four has to be Taylor Swift, I loved the fit of the dress on her, as well as the matching shaded pumps. What are your thoughts?

Who Wore Kymerah Better?

Who Wore It Better?
Kymerah 'Sora' Leather Dress

Following the frenzy of the hugely popular Leather Dress Trend, it was inevitable that a few celebrities would end up wearing the same one. In this case - 4 of them. The 'BLD' in question is a sleek bustier dress with sheer cut-out seams & flaired skirt by US luxury brand Kymerah

Kelly Osbourne was the first to debut the leather bustier dress on the red carpet 6 months ago. Kelly gave her look a rock chic edge with long cross pendent, black platform pumps and her signature lilac locks.
Mena Suvari gave the dress a breath of elegance on a night out in September. The 'American Pie' actress added a pair of pointy-toe pumps and a multi-hued Fendi bag to her look.
Maria Menounos picked out the same dress to wear at the MTV awards, just one day after Mena. The TV presenter was alluring in the structured corset fit and flair leather dress, pairing it with nude toned shoes and pin-straight hair.
Paris Hilton channelled her inner 'Madonna' at a fashion event in LA. The heiress styled her Kymerah 'Sora' dress with a collar necklace, fingerless black Karl Lagerfeld gloves, sparkly chain-handle bag and black Louboutin heels.

The uber sexy and chic Kymerah 'Sora' leather bustier dress is now
on sale via Shopbop, at the price of $766.50

Isn't it always curious seeing the same dress look so unique on different celebrities. I think Mena Suvari wore it best, the silhouette perfectly fits her petite frame and her tousled hairstyle and red hot lipstick gave it the edgy-glam styling needed.
What are your thoughts?

P.S. My apologies for late posts or comments - the techno gremlins have attacked my internet services.

The Leather Dress Trend

This season, the regular time-honoured 'LBD' has been replaced by the 'BLD' or as we know it - the 'Black Leather Dress'. This massive trend has been building momentum since the Fall/Winter 2012 fashion weeks in February, seen on catwalks from New York to Milan. Easy to style and effortless to wear, the little black leather dress serves as an edgier (and warmer) alternative to your classic LBD, dispensing a glossier, goth chic appeal.

On The Runway
The misconception that leather dresses have to be skintight and curve-hugging has been dispelled thanks to designers like Valentino, Gianfranco Ferre and Jean Paul Gaultier, who have created more capacious versions. However, if you do prefer the second-skin silhouette, Reem Acra, Pucci and Sportmax have got you covered, whilst Calvin Klein and Givenchy have opted for a flattering fit-and-flare style.

Celebrity Inspired Leather Looks
Ideal for cold winter nights, the long-sleeved leather mini has been a favourite amongst celebrities, as it provides a sleek, streamlined silhouette and oozes urbane glamour. Paired with ankle boots or strappy sandals, this is the perfect after-dark winter outfit.

The sleeveless or strapless leather dress is also an alluring choice as seen on Cody Horn, Nicky Hilton and Jessica Alba. Adding a pair of ankle-strap heels and studded accessories enhance the edginess of this look. And don't forget a red-hot lip colour for an extra dose of glamour.

Get With The Trend

You're not limited with choices when it comes to translating this trend off the runway & into reality. Be it elegant, sporty, sexy or sophisticated, there's a leather dress to suit your style.

Trendspotting
Burgundy Dresses

Burgundy or bordeaux, wine red or rust, merlot or maroon, oxblood or firebrick - there are countless variations on this rich deep red shade that has cast a captivating spell on the fashion world. Diane von Furstenburg added her signature wrapped effect to the trend, Herve Leger and Bottega Veneta went strong shouldered and leather bound. Simplicity reigned at Alexander Wang and Christian Siriano, and DKNY focused on cozy textures. Peter Som played the peplum card, Gucci brought in the glamour, while Versus & J Mendel stayed youthful & sexy.

Who Wore Roland Mouret Better?

Who Wore It Better?
Roland Mouret Galaxy Dress

Roland Mouret's 'Galaxy' dress is much more than your basic Little Black Dress - it's an iconic piece in recent fashion history. Originally debuted in Fall 2005, the hourglass-enhancing knee-length sheath was the object of every fashionista's affection, being sold out around the world. After a six-year hiatus, the Galaxy made a triumphant return in 2011, and since it's inception in 2005, it has become a firm red carpet favourite amongst celebrities. Most recently, Halle Berry wore the famous frock, which inspired this version of 'Who Wore It Better'.

This past weekend, Halle Berry brought the Galaxy dress back onto the 2012 style scene at an event in Beverly Hills. The 46-year-old dame kept her look polished with a pair of Jimmy Choo pointy-toe 'Anouk' pumps.
Miranda Kerr pulled her original 2005 Galaxy dress out of the archives for a trip to the Tribeca Film Festival in April last year. The stunning Aussie model added a pop of hot pink with suede Christian Louboutin pumps, and carried a Lanvin bag.
Estonian supermodel Carmen Kass wore a much shorter version of the chic pleated sleeve frock during Milan Fashion Week in September 2009. She paired her sexy look with chunky black leather sandals.

Back in 2006, Burlesque queen Dita von Teese added her retro style to the little black dress with 40's curls, cherry red lips and nails and plain black pumps.
Victoria Beckham was photographed in the Galaxy dress on numerous occasions, but the one that stands out is her appearance at a media awards event in London in December 2005. Victoria accompanied her look with nude and black pumps.
And finally, the first person to start the Roland Mouret 'Galaxy' dress trend was the lovely Cameron Diaz back in September 2005. The blonde actress made a statement by pairing it with vivid blue ankle tie-up sandals by Jimmy Choo. She also carried a Bottega Veneta clutch.

The dress was originally shown on the Roland Mouret Fall 2005 runway by model Erin Wasson. The Galaxy dress gained fame for its powermesh bodice that claims to sculpt any shape from size 6 to 16. Made from wool and stretch felt with a square neck and drape cap-sleeves, the Galaxy dress retails at £1450 or $2322 via rolandmouret.com

Who wore it better? Here is a recap to help you decide.

Isn't it amazing that the Galaxy LBD hasn't lost it's chic appeal over the course of 7 years. I think the dress fits the best on Miranda Kerr and Dita von Teese but the prize for best heels goes to Cameron Diaz in those stunning blue Jimmy Choo's.

Who Wore Dolce & Gabbana Better?

Who Wore It Better?
Dolce & Gabbana Dress
Fall 2012-2013

It's not often when we get to see the same designer dress being worn out in spectacular style during the same month, but we're in for a treat this September. Actresses Selena Gomez and Michelle Hicks may have 19 years between them, but both ladies compete equivalently well in this Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2012/2013 dress.

Former model and TV actress Michele Hicks wore the black lace pencil dress with elaborate gold curlicue embroidery to the Metropolitan Opera Opening event, held in New York last night, 25th September. The 39-year-old brunette paired the slim-fitting dress with an Alexander McQueen knucklebox clutch and metallic gold T-bar pumps. Michele had her hair pulled up in a voluminous bun and wore ruby red rouge.
'Springbreakers' star Selena Gomez stunned in the same scallop-hemmed, long-sleeved lace dress earlier this month, at the Venice Film Festival on 5 September 2012. The 20-year-old actress wore her hair in a loose upstyle with natural make-up and put on a pair of strappy Jimmy Choo 'Lance' heels with double ankle-buckle.

As for 'Who Wore It Better', the romantic baroque frock proves to be age-appropriate and elegant on both ladies. I think Selena's skin tone and styling works better with the dress, but I do like Michele's McQueen clutch. What are your thoughts?

Who Wore Georges Chakra Better?

Who Wore It Better?
Georges Chakra Spring 2012 Dress

On this fashionably Blue Monday we have a battle between two stunning singers-turned-talent-show-judges. We just saw Jennifer Lopez steam up Las Vegas in a fitted blue dress from Lebanese designer Georges Chakra's Edition Spring 2012 line. However just days before, songstress Nicole Scherzinger wore the same dress in a promotional shot for her new role as judge on 'The X-Factor UK'. Which of these dazzling divas wears this cobalt blue dress best?

Jennifer Lopez gained publicity for her world tour at Pure Nightclub, Caeser's Palace in Las Vegas on 19 August 2012. The Latina beauty wore this electric blue strapless crepe mini dress with snakeskin peep toe heels by Christian Louboutin. She carried a matching clutch bag and kept her hair in a wavy half-upstyle.
Nicole Scherzinger showed off her svelte figure in the Edition by Georges Chakra dress on a poster promoting the new season of The UK's X Factor TV series. The dress features rows of horizontal white stripes on the bodice and on the back of the skirt. Nicole put on a pair of nude satin ankle strap platform pumps by Giuseppe Zanotti. She styled her hair slick and straight.
The model wears the cobalt blue figure-hugging dress with strappy colour blocked heels and a selection of well-coordinated blue and white bangles.

As for 'Who Wore It Better', both singing sirens allured in the foxy blue dress, but my favourite pick is the Chakra model, I loved the styling of the pink heeled sandals and matching striped arm candy. What are your thoughts?

Who Wore It Better - The Dianna Agron Edition

Dianna Agron is best known for her portrayal as 'Quinn Fabray' on the popular TV series 'Glee', however, she is quickly gaining fame as a fashion icon in Young Hollywood too. The 26 year old actress faces off in three different looks on this edition of 'Who Wore It Better'. She picks out lovely feminine frocks that either inspires the style of other starlets or which just happen to be carbon copy coincidence. You decide...

Round One - Stella McCartney
Dianna was the first to wear this elegant black velour-front peplum dress by Stella McCartney back in August 2011. The dress is an impeccable fit on Dianna, this look seems to be made for her. She styled it with cropped waves, YSL Tribtoo pumps and red lipstick.
Next is It-Girl Miroslava Duma, who wore the chic fitted dress to a Glamour Event, along with sleek straight hair, a Bottega Veneta clutch bag & nude Christian Louboutin 'Pigalle' pumps.
Kim Kardashian was spotted out in NYC in the same dress almost a year later than Dianna. Kim added gold cuffs and a trendy pair of Christian Louboutin 'Bis Un Bout' PVC and patent pumps. When compared to the other two, this dress doesn't seem the best silhouette for her.

The Verdict: It's a difficult choice between Miroslava and Dianna, as they both looked exceptional in this Stella McCartney dress, but my vote goes to Dianna, it's just the perfect fit.

Round Two - Alice + Olivia
Dianna was the first to wear this Alice + Olivia golden sunflower print dress with box-pleat skirt in April this year, while in New York City. She kept warm with a woolen coat and stepped out in navy blue 'Cosmic' pumps by Jimmy Choo.
We recently saw Holland Roden wear the exact same dress at the last month's Teen Choice Awards (July 2012). The Teen Wolf actress looked pretty, pairing her version with a skinny metallic belt, gold Lauren Merkin clutch and nude 'Pigalle' pumps by Christian Louboutin.
Just a week later, jazz singer and actress Renee Olstead wore the sunflower dress to a Nylon event in LA. Renee picked a pair of Fendi platform pumps to complete her look, and an animal print bandana scarf that leaves much to be desired.

The Verdict: Holland Roden wins this round hands down, her styling was complimentary to the dress and she somehow gave it girlier appeal.

Round Three - Tracy Reese for Anthropologie

Dianna was eye-catching in a Tracy Reese for Anthropologie 'Impressionist' dress, which she wore in June 2012. The pretty silk-linen digital print dress was paired with a black and silver belt, Coach legacy leather bag, glittery Miu Miu heels and snazzy turquoise sunnies.
Talk about Déja vu - just one day before Dianna wore the dress, Disney actress Caroline Sunshine wore it to the LA Film Festival on 18 June 2012. The 'Shake It Up' star carried a bright pink clutch to match her pink dip-dyed hair and walked in nude pointy toe heels.
Oprah's right-hand Gayle King picked out this seemingly youthful dress with grassy print hemline for a CBS event last month on 29 July. She invigorated her look with lime green Manolo Blahnik sandals. I find this look too young on her.

The Verdict: I'm really not taking sides, but I have to give this final round to Dianna, she took an edgy risk with the accessories and it paid off.

I would love to hear your thoughts on each look. If you'd like, in the comment box, type in Round 1 to 3 and next to it, let me know who you think wore each dress best.

Who Wore Roland Mouret Better?

Who Wore It Better?
Roland Mouret Spring 2012 Herbert Dress

French designer Roland Mouret is well known for his curve-hugging dresses with impeccable pencil skirts that flatter the female form. It's no wonder that five different celebrities picked out the exact same dress from his Spring 2012 collection. The colour-block dress features an ivory crepe wool off-the-shoulder top with folded neckline and nude grosgrain straps, a black tie-up belt and red plissé pencil skirt.

1. The first to put on the dress was Amy Adams back in November 2011. The red-haired actress looked graceful with side swept hair, opting to tie the belt to the back. She added the illusion of length with nude Jimmy Choo 'Anouk' pumps, which also complimented the straps.
2. Lifetime host Amanda de Cadenet wore the 'Herbert' dress in April 2012 for an InStyle event. Changing it up a bit, Amanda's dress had black shoulder straps. She stepped out in a pair of three bow-strapped 'Miss Butterfly' sandals by Christian Louboutin. I don't think this dress was the right fit for her.
3. Canadian actress Sarah Gadon wore the fitted frock for the 'Cosmopolis' photocall in Cannes during May of this year. The petite actress kept it simple with black peep-toe sandals, messy waves and a gold cuff. The dress is slightly looser on her.
4. 58-year-old actress Christie Brinkley proved that she looks just as good as any 25-year-old in the shapely dress. She chose this look for the Broadway Beacon Awards held in early June 2012. Seventies style hair and bold orange sandals complete her outfit.
5. Finally, the Mouret dress had another showing at the movie premiere of 'Ted' last month. Model Rhea Durham (the wife of Mark Wahlberg) looked stunning in the color-block frock, she dressed it up with a black clutch and satin and lace slingbacks by Christian Louboutin.

Polish beauty Jac Jagaciak modeled the popular dress for Roland Mouret's Spring 2012 show. It was paired with chunky wooden platform sandals on the runway.

As for Who Who It Better...I am wavering between the elegant Amy Adams and lovely Rhea Durham. Amy's choice of nude heel was spot on and Rhea gave it that glamourous model touch. What are your thoughts?

Who Wore Roksanda Ilincic Better?

Who Wore It Better?
Roksanda Ilincic 'Izumi' Dress

We don't usually see the same dress worn in the same week, let alone two days apart. However, both actress Marisa Tomei and Princess Beatrice of York were spotted in the same frock by Roksanda Ilincic last week. The blush tone 'Izumi' dress features a rounded neckline, double pleats on the bodice and long-sleeves that lead into a sapphire frilled cuffs. It's possible that somewhere Marisa's stylist is cringing, or perhaps Beatrice is a new trendsetter...either way, it was a good publicity week for the Serbian-English designer.

Left: Marisa Tomei wore the ivory crepe wool dress on 29th June during Paris Menswear Fashion Week 2012. The brunette actress paired her look with a nude clutch bag and snazzy Aperlai colourblock heels in varying shades of blue.
Middle: Princess Beatrice was the first to take the dress for an outing to the 'Britain Creates 2012' Fashion & Art Gala in London on 27th June. The young royal looked sophisticated in the Izumi knee-length dress, accompanying it with a glittered gold clutch by Anya Hindmarch and a pair of digitally printed blue pumps by Nicholas Kirkwood
Right: The dress as presented for Roksanda Ilincic's Pre-Fall 2012 collection, styled with a pair of bright red ankle-strap heels.

The Roksanda Ilincic 'Izumi' dress retails at Farfetch.com for $1216.
Princess Beatrice's pair of Nicholas Kirkwood Digitex Print pumps can be bought at Boutique1.com for $285
The Aperlai Mixed Media Colourblock sandal that Marisa wears has been reduced on Saks Fifth Avenue for a price of $484.57

There is no doubt that both ladies wear this dress with grace and elegance, so it all comes down to styling and shoes. I like the pop of red as seen in the original model's look. If I had to choose between the two, I'd pick Marisa's look, because I preferred her hair up, and for those eye-catching Aperlai platform sandals. Having a dress this simple, those heels provide the perfect point of interest and vivacity. What are your thoughts?

Which Snow White Star Wore It Better?

Who Wore It Better?
Mulberry Resort 2012 'Neely' Dress

Two 'Snow White' stars spotted in one Mulberry dress...but who is the fairest of them all? Lily Collins and Kristen Stewart have both recently acted as the fairytale character 'Snow White', in two very different adaptions of the legendary story. Lily stars as Snow White in the lighthearted and cutely romantic 'Mirror Mirror', while Kristen plays the lead in the slightly darker version, 'Snow White and the Huntsmen', due for release in June.
The fair maidens now face off in the same hazy blue Mulberry 'Neely' dress, which is from the label's Resort 2012 collection.

Lily Collins showed off a more feminine side to the blue watercolour print dress, at the Coachella Music Festival held last weekend (15 April 2012). Lily went for a more casual look, pairing her dress with beige Mulberry bow-stiched ballerina pumps and a black 'Lily' tassel bag, also from the British brand.
Kristen Stewart was the first to wear the 'Neely' dress, back in September 2011 at London Fashion Week. The raven-haired actress accented her waist with the belt from the original look, which also lifts up the hemline. Kristen added her usual edge with a pair of black buckle ankle boots, courtesy of Mulberry. Both ladies wore their hair down similarly.
Dutch model Patricia van der Vliet is pictured in the dress for the Mulberry Resort 2012 presentation. She is styled with a black Mulberry Alexa oversized satchel, printed ankle-strap wedges and black pull-up socks.

As for who wore it better, it's difficult choice...and I'm not trying to get out of picking a side, but I actually prefer this dress as it was shown originally on the model. I liked the quirky appeal of the socks and sandals and the striking buckle bag. The Mulberry 'Neely' dress costs £550 / $865 and can be purchased from mulberry.com

Who do you think wore it better, and more importantly...which actress do you prefer as 'Snow White'?

The Yellow Dress Trend

Trend of the Week
Yellow Dresses

Bright yellow dresses are an emerging trend that have been spreading sunshine all over the Spring/Summer 2012 runways. From New York to Milan Fashion Week, varying shades of yellow have been a favourite with designers.

Yellow is no longer just a daytime-summer-sundress type of colour. It has streamed over into formal wear, with elegant floor-length gowns in silky, flowing fabrics and sparkly embellishments. Yellow is a colour that suits most skin tones and hair colours, the trick is to find the right shade for you. Brighter yellows looked striking against darker skin tones and on brunettes. Soft, buttery shades flatter paler skins and blondes. If you're not keen on a fluorescent tint, try out a subtle lemonade shade.
