The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) held their annual awards event last night in New York City. Among the honorees were Philip Lim, Oscar de la Renta, Vera Wang and Proenza Schouler. But what we were really wondering is what all the models, actresses and starlets wore...here is the round-up. Click on the pics for a larger view.


Colourific

 Sofia Vergara showed off her curves in a form fitting emerald green Herve L. Leroux gown with plunge neck and elaborate choker. Kerry Washington donned a sunflower yellow Jason Wu gown with matching waistband. Diana Sanchez went ultra violet in a strapless asymmetrical gown with gold side panels. Ireland Baldwin kept it classic in a cardinal red David Meister Signature dress. Hanneli Mustaparta brought along her unique sense of style in a diaphanous saffron Calvin Klein dress with flowing cape.

Little Black Dresses

Jessica Chastain was simplistic chic in a Givenchy LDB. Kata Mara opted for a circular crochet cut-out Dolce & Gabbana mini dress with emerald necklace. Rose Byrne represented Thakoon in a sequined apron dress with sheer lace underlay. Rooney Mara stuck to her goth style in a lace Calvin Klein dress with high-low hemline.

Champagne Socialists

Designer Erin Fetherston was charming in a champagne and gold empire-waist gown from her own line. Lily Aldridge wore a simple strapless ivory jacquard dress by The Row, keeping all the focus on those red fluttery kitten heels. Hailee Steinfeld looked age-appropriate in a a sweet printed ensemble by Suno. Olivia Palermo was fringed in a cream Dennis Basso dress with gold embellished bodice, her neon metallic heels and printed clutch are both by Zara.

Design Duos

Carly Cushnie & Michelle Ochs wore slinky red and yellow cut-out dresses from their own label, Cushnie et Ochs. Elizabeth Olsen wore a black suit from her sister's line The Row, while Mary Kate chose a vintage Issey Mikaye dress. Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman were opulent in creations from their brand, Marchesa.

Model Mode

Candice Swanepoel went for a trendy draped look by Prabal Gurung, with sequin embellished panels, a wide black belt and edgy leather strap sandals. Hilary Rhoda was monochromatic in a geometric draped dress by Helmut Lang, with Jimmy Choo sandals. Jessica Hart was dressed by Rachel Roy in a white cut-out one-strap bodysuit top with taupe lace pencil skirt.

Jet Black

Linda Evangelista wore a dramatic tier-frilled strapless gown by Oscar de la Renta. Constance Jablonski looked elegant in a sheer chiffon J. Mendel dress with band-strapped bodice. Karlie Kloss went for a modern look by Cushnie et Ochs, wearing a patent black leather fitted plunge bodice with softer satin skirt. 

Cocktail Frocks

Juliette Lewis was outfitted by Zac Posen in this peach 50's style A-line frock with wide neck and burgundy heels. Jessica Stam made a vivid appearance in a canary yellow peplum dress by Rebecca Minkoff, styled with PVC Louboutin ankle-cuff sandals. Miranda Kerr wore a winning look by Proenza Schouler, in a blue and teal green silk printed mini dress. Ashley Madekwe was chic in an aqua Cushnie et Ochs over-the-knee dress with cut-away waist.

Blank Slate

Brazilian beauty Alessandra Ambrosio looked sophisticated in a white one-shouldered Kaufman Franco dress with side slit. Supermodel Joan Smalls opted for snow white romance in a strapless Givenchy gown with full skirt. Erin Wasson was futuristic in an illusion bodice column gown with liner cut-outs by Alexander Wang. 

Mixed Metals

Cody Horn sparkled in a look by Michael Kors, with silver crystal studded mini dress & long black peplum train. Karolina Kurkova stopped traffic in a tiny metallic silver shorts set by Michael Kors. Nicole Richie wore a molten bronze dress by Marc Jacobs. Ellie Kemper was dressed in a Naeem Khan black dress, scattered with gold beaded starbursts. Adriana Lima kept everyone guessing in a shimmering sequin printed dress with sheer skirt by Givenchy.
