Friday Frills

Today I can complain because the weather is rainy,

Or I can be thankful that my garden is getting watered for free.

Today I can feel sad that I don’t have more money, or I can be glad
that my finances
encourage me to plan my purchases wisely and guide me away from waste.

Today I can grumble about my health, or I can rejoice that I am alive.

Today I can lament over all I didn’t have whilst growing up,

Or I can feel grateful for not being spoilt.

Today I can whine because roses have thorns, or I can celebrate that thorns have roses.

Today I can mourn my lack of friends,
or I can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new relationships.

Today I can be annoyed because I have to go to work,
or I can appreciate that I have a job to do.

Today I can complain because I have to go to class,

Or I can eagerly open my mind and fill it with rich new tidbits of knowledge.

Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have chores and housework to do,

Or I can feel honoured because I have a shelter for my mind, body, and soul.

Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped,
and I am the sculptor who gets to do the shaping.

Today, my attitude is the difference.
I get to choose what kind of day I will have.

I love this! This is so true, looking at the day with a posisitve attitude makes all the difference! I remember when I was younger my school principle would always say over the announcements "Have a good day or not, the choice is yours." It's a very good quote!

Thank you for asking how I'm doing on my blog! I'm doing well, I've just been so busy recently!

Dear Sam this quote is fantastic as all quotes you pick. I remember I said it long ago to my mum: "Why do we always notice when we are in the slowest row in a traffic jam, but we never pay attention when we're in the fastest one". I think it's the same what the quote tries to say. It's all about thinking positive!

Have a great weekend dear!

Morning Sam! Hope your day is going fine so far! I had a pretty hectic week too so your "frills" are what I need to read and think to appreciate what life gives! One of my fav funny quote in fact says "when life gives you lemons, make a lemonade", lol, I agree with it! I think the point of the whole post is: always try to get the best of any situation, good or bad, not complaining about how the things are going but remember that the worst can always happens and try to be everyday positive and thankful for what we hardly achieved:) I also need to keep it very well impressed in my mind!:) Kisses and hugs my dear, happy Friday!♥

Do you think I would miss your Friday Frills??? Nooooo! I am always eager to read them! They really make my day! I have to apologize for yesterday, cause I was at the repair shop when I had the chance to write only "thank you for your words! Leaving the computer now" :) But that was all I really could do, cause the repair guy was next to me :) So now after the fourth repair visit I got it back! News I will send properly next week, cause right now I still have so much to do... But I wanted to say that your Friday Frills are amazing, and you know that! I always think of printing or writing with nice handwriting and keep it in a visible place! To be reminded of many things! Though I have the same idea and tell people when they are complaining. Don't like your job? How many would like to have one. Don't like your decoration at home? How many would love having a home. And so on... but people normally forget this... Have a great weekend, my dear friend! (I'm am a bit nervous... :) don't like 14 hour-flights!

Sam, this is so beautiful, and so right on spot! Sometimes I get so caught up in my daily duties, chores and worries, that I don't take time to celebrate the bigger picture. I'm printing this out and putting it above my desk to be reminded of it every day!
