Abed Mahfouz Couture 2013

One designer that I would love to see more of on the red carpet is Abed Mahfouz. This season, the Lebanese couturier strings together an exquisite line of glamourous gowns that are richly coated in glittering embellishments like crystalline gemstones, pearls and Swarovski crystals. 

Abed throws his creative rope outside the boundaries of predictable and mundane shades, instead opting for radiant hues that catch the eye. Lime green, rumba red, coral, biscuit and teal define his winter range, whilst softer pastels imbue his summer assembly in lemon chiffon, powder blue, mint and candy apple green.

Mahfouz expertly enhances the feminine shape with his hourglass silhouettes that are handcrafted to the finest measure, detailing 3D floral appliqués, soft ruffled sleeves, fluttery hems and delicate embroidery. Flowing silks, lace and sheer mesh lend a sensual elegance to the floor-length dresses. This is a preview into both of the resplendent couture collections that Abed Mahfouz presented for 2013-14.
