Vogue Australia - A Rose Tinted Fall 2013

Put on your oversized knitted beanie and pull up your knee-high socks, it's going to be a cute and cozy winter according to Vogue Australia. The magazine sings a romantic tune for their August 2013 issue, with a charming collection of red and pink rose tinted runway looks.
In keeping with their 'rosy' theme, Vogue Au enlisted upcoming model Holly Rose Emery for the photo shoot, who perfectly fits this idyllic melody with her dainty fairyesque features.

If you were ever intimidated by the combination of rose and red, set your fashion fears aside, and view how it so beautifully blends in this engaging editorial.

Holly Rose Emery wears an ivory Bottega Veneta dress that boasts oversized ruffled sleeves and a ruby red felt imprint design. It is layered over a carmine red Prada sweater and topped off with that all important Fall accessory, a large knitted beanie. A touch of bling is added with a Dries van Noten collar necklace.

It was during the the Fall 2013 runway show of British designer Giles, that the sizeable beanie became a fashion fad. Holly is pretty in a rosebud pink Giles maxi gown with voluminous bishop sleeves and grey knee-high American Apparel socks.

Throw a petal pink teddy bear robed coat over your winter ensemble for instant chicness. This slouchy version is by Carven, accessorized with a rouge red Prada bag and knee-highs.

The New Zealander beauty is captivating in a scarlet jacquard mini dress by Dolce & Gabbana, unzipped and styled with a velvety red Prada cardigan, ice pink leg warmers, a floppy Giles beanie and a crystal Dries van Noten necklace.

Layering a comfy cardigan under your strappy tops is a great way to transition into Fall. Holly is sweet in a spaghetti strap cut-out top edged with fur, which is paired with a matching maxi skirt, both by Nina Ricci. A snug grey cardi, socks, jewelled Rochas necklace and large floral headpiece complete her endearing ensemble.

A bordeaux dipped, feather trimmed dress by Christopher Kane is toned down by a gentle grey Prada sweater, those all-the-rage knee-high socks and a twee beanie.

Holly Rose is saccharine in a petal pink duchess satin Rochas dress, which is given a casual twist by way of a cozy cashmere Chanel sweater and vintage burgundy socks.

What do you think of this red and pink rose themed editorial?

I love this editorial but I just find myself a little confused and conflicted about the hues. Perhaps it's because I'm currently in Fiji and am surrounded by a lot of bright colours... Lots of love from Fiji xoxoxo

Morning Sam! Let me say that rose pink and red are both ones of my fav color but I seldom wear them together, though is so trendy and everywhere I saw looks with this match! I need to try once cause love so much these shades! HAvent seen the editorial yet, the model is too beautiful, she got an expressive and deep face. Regarding the styling, the garments I love most are the Giles maxi gown, the Carven coat (oh my is utterly adorable, I want it!) and the D&G mini dress. I always admire how you match the photos magazine with the runway scene, is so professional!:) Have a good day dear! xo

I like the idea of mixing a highly dressy piece with a slouchy weekend item..I love beanies, firstly they are great for bad hair days and secondly they can make even the primiest girl look slightly cool.

You are right Sam, sometimes it is good! And with the heat of these days is pretty hard stay in front of the laptop! The weather was nice, thanks for asking! High pony tail is very easy dear, if you want to make it you just brush your hair backward, then put it up with the help of the comb and knot it with the band! xo

I'm not that big a fan of beanies, but they sure look comfortable. I'm looking for a nice hat for next fall/winter, and this gave me some ideas about how I could combine it to dresses. Red is always stunning in fall!

Many thanks for showing - your post remembers me really to think about my wardrobe for autuum, although it´s still summer here in Bavaria :)

Hope you had a great start in the new week - wish you only the best for the rest of the week <3
