A Fragrance by Vera Wang
I love Vera Wang fragrances, they are sweet without being overpowering, girly and glamourous. With her latest aromatic venture, Vera Wang does not disappoint. Lovestruck lures with it's intoxicating fruity-floral fragrance, inspired by the feeling of 'falling in love'. This is the scintillating scent of a modern day Juliet, romantic with a spirit of independence.
Who better than our favourite Gossip Girl, Leighton Meester, to personify Juliet in the advert for Lovestruck, with model Tommy Dunn as Romeo. Leighton wears a gorgeous raspberry mermaid gown with ruffled skirt, waiting on her balcony to be whisked away by a leather-wearing Romeo.
The first spray of Lovestruck captivates with the exotic fruity scent of pink guava, sparkling mandarin and the tranquility of angelica blossom. It develops into a bouquet of heady tuberose with the freshness of lotus flower. The bottom notes are woody with a touch of musk.
The bottle is as enchanting as the pretty pink perfume it embodies. A posy of peonies is wrapped up in burgundy tulle with a square glass bottle underneath. I haven't yet seen it in South African stores, but you can purchase it online from Next. It is £35 or R382 for 30ml and £48 or R525 for 50ml.
