Looks of the Week - 12/01/13

It's the first of the year, this is the weekly roundup of celebrity style, on and off the red carpet.

Easy Elegance

Emma Stone makes an impact in cardinal red, her strapless sweetheart neck dress with bejewelled flower belt is by Lanvin. Emma went for all red accessories, with a box clutch, heavy neckpiece and Louboutin pumps.
Emmy Rossum brought out the sunshine in a stellar yellow dress by Christian Dior, the simplest of designs sometimes work the best. Her heels and clutch are also Dior.
Karolina Kurkova wears an impeccably tailored dress with cut-out neck by Cushnie Et Ochs. Futuristic strap sandals by Alexander Wang complete her look.
Molly King combines both the sporty dress and cut-out trend in this raspberry tennis dress by Three Floor. Her T-Bar block heels are Casadei.
Naya Rivera showed off her more sophisticated side in this cafe latte collared jumpsuit from Alice by Temperley. A skinny silver belt, metallic Jimmy Choo pumps and a Diane von Furstenberg clutch style her chic look.

Playful Prints
Kerry Washington is boldly printed in a pink and orange floral extravaganza by J.Mendel.
Solange Knowles broke every patterned rule in the book, in a jazzy block print suit by Just Cavalli, her purple and orange diamond print clutch and black and white strappy sandals further instilled the psychedelic theme. You either love it or hate it.
Kerry Washington once again wows in a uniquely printed look, this time a puffy horse print skirt with material for miles by Giles. I originally had this outfit pinned onto my red carpet wish list, but thought it was too far out...apparently not.
Rachel Weisz makes a polished appearance in this elegant flower print russet dress by Bottega Veneta. Her gold metal soled heels are by Charlotte Olympia.

Feminine Flair

Krysten Ritter was enchanting in a cornflower blue Randi Rahm dress, decorated with floral appliqués. An aqua clutch and nude Jimmy Choo pumps finalize her outfit.
Dakota Fanning is back to blonde and looking charming as always, pictured here in a dainty white lace Nina Ricci dress, styled with swanky metallic brogues.
Felicity Jones was pastel pretty in floral printed frock by Valentino, paired with peach pumps.
Rosamund Pike displayed the beauty of this delicate lemon lace asymmetrical Erdem dress, adding a vibrant pop of orange with her two-tone Elie Saab sandals.
Abigail Spencer picked out this romantic ivory dress by Valentino, featuring self toned embroidery and long cuffed sleeves. Her sparkly peep-toe pumps are Giuseppe Zanotti.

Casual Chic
Bella Thorne's Parisian chic look includes a striped lettered sweater, leather leggings & Charlotte Olympia kitty flats. A red hair bow is the cherry on top of a very cute outfit.
Jessica Chastain ups the street style ante in a sophisticated caped coat by Dolce & Gabbana, paired with a Gucci bag and glossy nude platform pumps.
Cheryl Cole showed off her trendy airport style in an orange and white Intarsia sweater by JW Anderson, worn with a leather mini skirt and edgy suede spiked Alaia ankle boots.
Queen of Cool Kate Moss warms up in a luxe leopard Zara coat & black skinny jeans. Flat ankle boots, a black Saint Laurent duffle bag & grey fedora accessorize her voguish ensemble.

Who is your favourite 'Look of the Week'?

*Please stop by for my round-up of the Golden Globes red carpet on Monday.

Hi! How are you babe?? I'm studying hard, on monday I have one exam and I don't know if I'm going to pass it... :(
mmmMM... this time I don't like those dresses so much... only that first red one that wears Emma Stone, that necklace it's so gorgeus!! but better without those gems in the belt, don't you think so? I think it looks better only with the necklace!:)
Go and check out my new post girl, I know you a bit and I think you'll love it!:):)

Hi Sam, thank you for your comment on my post. Wonderful round up of looks here, my favourites are (as you know I can never pick one) Naya Rivera, Kerry Washington's second red carpet look, in the Giles dress and finally Jessica Chastain. She looks incredible chic and her coat is beautiful. :)

Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend,

Karolina Kurkova looks gorgeous, as ever, although I can never work out if I like those Alexander Wang sandals or not. Krysten Ritter's dress is gorgeous, and I love the way she's accessorised it with a slightly aqua blue clutch, keeping to the same colour scheme with a slightly different tone, but my favourite has to be Bella Thorne's laid-back look, it's so effortlessly well-styled! xx

Wow Sam, I have many many faves here, great post! Loving Emma Stone's look (although where have her lovely red locks gone??!) and Naya Rivera looks stunning. Rachel Weisz and Rosamund Pike are stylish as ever (go the Brits!), and I'm in love with Kerry Washington's fun bright gown too - absolutely divine!

katie said...

Whoa, how did I miss this post? (What a bad girl!)
I always love seeing what Emmy Rossun wears on the red carpets, shes one of the few clebs who has a really amazing personal sense of style and she wears such gorgeous, fun gowns on the red carpet. I love that she wore this bright yellow frock with the shorter length, that feels so daring among all of the other longer gowns. (Her and Anne Hathaway, those two really seem to nail it every time. Most of the younger clebs take a while to grow into their style but those two are so elegant and cool for their age. I have such a girl crush on both of them.)
Solange is another of my favorite, she has such a different look and I really love how shes managed to step out from under her sister's shadow. She always wears the most interesting ensembles.
