Red Carpet Fashion
Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2014

This weekend saw Hollywood's youngest stars bring their fashion flair to what is technically the 'Orange' Carpet at the the 27th Annual Nickelodean Kids' Choice Awards. I honestly don't know half of these teen actresses, but I'm guessing if you ask any 8 year old, they will be able to point them out. So in case you missed it, this is a recap of all the Spring inspired outfits from the KCA's.

Bella Thorne kept her look simple and uncomplicated in an emerald green Valentino romper, worn with gold metallic Christian Louboutin shoes. Victoria Justice was printed in all shades of green, wearing an eye-catching Atelier Versace strapless dress with Jimmy Choo sandals. Sydney Park was youthfully cute in an Arturo D Chavez colourblocked top and A-line graphic print skirt, with shoes by Prada

Posh Pants
Peta Murgatroyd was suave in a black cut-out jumpsuit by Self Portrait, along with Christian Louboutin sandals. Alexa Vega displays one of her chicer looks in a strapless graphic printed navy & white Tart jumpsuit. America Ferrera went more formal in a midnight blue & black pants suit by Veronica Beard, with cap-toed Casadei shoes.

Print Parade
Jayma Mays looked tropical in a sheer printed dress by Timo Weiland with a mint green clutch. Coco Jones was vibrantly decked in a yellow corset top with string detail and a royal blue floral printed pencil skirt, styled with bold blue heels. Selena Gomez, who skipped the red carpet, is pictured backstage in a landscaped painted Dolce & Gabbana look with yellow trims. A Few Good Life Rules

1. You cannot change what you refuse to confront.
2. Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.
3.
In life, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
4.
Trying to be someone else is a waste of the person you are.
5. It doesn't matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress, the most important thing is that you are still trying.

6. If a person wants to be a part of your life, they will make an obvious effort to do so. Think twice before reserving a space in your heart for people who do not make an effort to stay.
7. Making one person smile can change the world, maybe not the whole world, but their world.

8. Giving up doesn't always mean you're weak, sometimes it means you are strong enough and smart enough to let go and move on.
9. It is better to be alone, then to be in bad company.
10. If you really want to do something, you'll find a way. If you don't, you'll find an excuse.

11. Never do something permanently foolish just because you are temporarily upset.
12. Sometimes you need to distance yourself from the situation to see things clearly.
13. When you stop chasing the wrong things you give the right things a chance to catch you.
14. There isn't anything noble about being superior to another person. True nobility is in being superior to the person you once were.
15. The only expectations you should live up to are the ones you expect of yourself.

Red Blonde Brunette

I've always been amazed at how converting your hair colour can completely change the way you look. The right hair tone will bring out and highlight your best features, whilst the wrong shade can make you appear sallow & washed out. Then there are some who are able to wear any colour and still look sensational. These are celebrities who have been brave enough to go from red hair to blonde and brunette and back again, a few with grand success and others a little less lucky.

1. Emma Stone
Colour Chameleon Emma Stone has a creamy pale skin tone and dazzling green eyes that compliments any hair colour. This natural Buttercup Blonde is equally bewitching with Fiery Red hair and silken Chestnut Brown locks.

2. Cheryl Cole
British singer Cheryl Cole is known for her lustrous volumized locks, which has seen shades of ravishing Plum Merlot, a less natural looking Wheat Blonde and her beautiful naturally dark Mahogany Brown hair.

3. Jennifer Lawrence
Jennifer Lawrence wowed us with her wavy Baywatch Blonde hair and since then, this award winning actress has tinted her tresses a Ginger Spiced Red and also went to the dark side with Sable shaded locks. I think the black hue gives her a sallow appearance. She look most distinctive as a blonde.

4. Emily Blunt
Emily Blunt stole the spotlight in The Devil Wears Prada with her Vibrant Auburn locks. But this natural Cocoa Coloured Brunette also finds it easy to wear Macadamian Blonde, all in her signature bob hairstyle.

5. Ashley Greene
Twilight alumni Ashley Greene dyed her hair in a synthetic shade of Cherry Swirl before going Golden Blonde. But I find that her natural Chocolate Brown hair suits her best.

6. Kate Bosworth
Kate Bosworth recently dyed her hair in a shade of Strawberry for a movie role, but this beautiful actress is at her best in Platinum and Pearl Blonde. The darker Mocha tinted hair hue completely washes her out.

7. Cameron Diaz
Gentlemen may prefer blondes, but that didn't stop Cameron Diaz from dyeing her Sun Kissed tresses into a Rusted Cinnamon Red and then even darker in a Walnut Brown. Eventhough the sultry brunette hair makes her blue eyes pop, I prefer Cameron with lighter locks.

8. Brittany Snow
Pitch Perfect's Brittany Snow has dramatically coloured her hair from the lightest Flaxen Blonde to a Toasted Red Toffee and Intense Umber Brown. They all suit her to some extent but I like Brittany's red hair.

9. Olivia Wilde
With exquisite steel blue almond-shaped eyes, a dewy complexion and the perfect jawline, Olivia Wilde sets the ideal canvas to wear any hair colour. She has been a Dark Coppery Redhead, an Almond Blonde and a Truffle Brown Brunette. I think that each shade brings out a different side to her beauty.

10. Scarlett Johansson
Scarlett Johansson has always been turning heads, no matter what her hair shade. The stunning star has experimented with Flame Red, Luminous Amber Blonde and Velvety Dark Brown. She can pull of any shade but blonde will always be the colour she is known for.

11. Nicole Richie
We first met the Reality Star as a bottle blonde on The Simple Life, but since then, Nicole Richie has refined her style along with her hair colour. She has went from Tea Soaked Red to Vanilla Blonde and a luscious Cola Brown. I prefer her as a brunette, as it highlights her light brown eyes and café au lait skin tone.

12. Angelina Jolie
With her spellbinding looks, Angelina Jolie could ideally carry off most hues. The actress began her career as Brunette, then tried on a glorious Burnt Sienna Red, then went Sandy Blonde for her role in the movie Salt. I'm not sold on the blonde, but think she's stunning in darker shades.

13. Ashlee Simpson
Ashlee Simpson is one of those lucky girls who can dye her hair any shade and it still looks striking and authentic. She has went from being a natural Buttered Toast Blonde to turning her hair Expresso Brown and a Vivid Cayenne Red. I think she looks great in every shade, but I love the red on her.

14.  Rachel McAdams
We first noticed Rachel McAdams as a platinum blonde in Mean Girls and since then the Canadian actress has dyed her hair a vivacious Copper red, Champagne Blonde and Coffee Bean Brown, all for movie roles. I think blonde looks best on her, although she carries off the other colours beautifully.

Would you Make the Drastic Change from Red to Blonde and Brunette?
Which of these celebrities wear all 3 shades well?

Sophia Webster Shoes Spring 2014

Sophia Webster
Spring/Summer 2014 Collection

Firmly paving her way in between the aisles of Louboutins and Manolo Blahnik's, Sophia Webster has carved a name for herself in the world of luxury footwear with her innovative and whimsical creations. This season, the British shoe designer has outdone herself with beautiful pairs of butterfly winged heels in glossy patent leather shades of spearmint, baby pink, black, cerise and teal.

The trendy polka heart print is seen on eye-catching satin pairs, whist dreamy pastel leather clouds are adorned upon flatforms and mules with perspex heels. Faux heart-perforated socks add a playful retro touch to red leather ankle boots. Jellies are given a modern colourblocked makeover with glittered heels. Psychedelic slingbacks are striped and vividly shaded in bright summer hues with quirky appliquéd catch phrases, corresponding to the brand's highly desired speech bubble bags.

Serene pastels are seen in wrap-around heels embedded with colourful gems in graphic printed canvas and suede. A charming assembly of candied raffia and rubber-soled flat sandals, striped grosgrain espadrilles and signature speech bubble leather loafers provide shoppers with a wearable alternative to all those 4 inch heels.

This is a wishful gaze into Sophia Webster's Spring/Summer 2014 collection.

Who Wore Burberry Prorsum SS14 Better?

Who Wore It Better?
Burberry Prorsum SS14 Lace Dress

There was no doubt that Burberry Prorsum's Spring/Summer 2014 collection would be an exceedingly popular one. This is just one more beautiful dress from the saccharine pastel soaked range, which has been worn out three times in two months across continents. The dress is sheerly defined by lavender lace, a draped bustier, pencil skirt and one-shouldered flower appliquéd strap. It's hard to go wrong with a look this pretty, so it all comes down to the styling.

1. Socialite Poppy Delevingne wore the dainty lilac cotton see-through lace dress with twist-draped bustier to an event in LA, giving it a glittery touch with a gold Jimmy Choo clutch and round-toed pumps. Sunkissed makeup and unkempt hair styled Poppy's look.
2. We recently saw British actress Gemma Chan lend her splendor to this pastel Burberry Prorsum dress, hers worn with a skin-tone underlay instead of the conspicuous lilac shorts. She accessorized with a lilac leather Burberry 'The Petal' flower decked clutch and white pointy-toe Gianvito Rossi pumps. Bright red lipstick and loose locks styled Gemma's outfit.
3. Spanish beauty Dafne Fernandez was also enamored by Burberry's lavender lace SS14 pencil dress, adding a must-have $1495 'The Petal' Burberry flower-studded clutch and metallic glittered heels. Dafne wore kohl lined eyes and her hair to the side.
4. On the Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2014 runway, Brit model Matilda Lowther strutted out in the transparent cotton lace midi dress with a pink 'The Petal' clutch and pair of $650 white translucent vinyl sandals, all from the iconic label.

The lavender lace dress with plastic pink flower strap is available online from Burberry.com - If you have $2 495 to spare. Unlike the above looks, this one is fully lined in silk. Because only models and celebrities can get away with showing off their undergarments in public.

As for 'Who Wore It Better', the dress is faultless on each of these four ladies, but my vote is going to Gemma Chan, her posture and poise elevates the entire look, and I prefer the dress lined.

Friday Frills

Today I will search for the goodness in everyone I meet. I will remember that light reflects off the whole world around me, and that how I view it depends on the glasses I choose to wear.

Today I will walk through doors and lives knowing that it is my contributions, and not my comments that shape the world around me. It is not the big things, but the little things for which I will best be remembered. I will choose my words more carefully, and allow them to heal and not wound.

Today I will feed where there is hunger, I will comfort where there is loneliness and I will listen to the words, the music and the rhythm of those with whom I share my life. I will bring love where there is hatred, fight for what is right, make amends for any wrongs I may have done and ask forgiveness from those I have harmed.

Today is a blessing and a gift, that's why it called The Present.
