Clover Canyon Fall Collection 2012

If you have never experimented with prints before, like myself, this season would be the ideal time to start. From recent runway inspiration, prints are slowly taking over, finding a place on the rails of department stores and with labels like Clover Canyon. Their Fall 2012 collection precipitates a torrent of creative & fascinating prints, all in accord with one of the season's most significant trends. The Californian brand's intrepid & graphic designs are not for fashion's faint-hearted, they are boldly eye-catching and command attention from head to toe.

Bodycon dresses, flowy tunics, primly buttoned shirts, tailored blazers and chicly cut pants have all been painted on with a pastiche of colours and innovative prints. The label sights its inspiration from classic and contemporary art, with each piece individually hand cut and sewn. Clover Canyon's unique and floridly patterned Fall range has been designed with a masculine-feminine theme in mind, the artistic details is a manifestation of trailblazing style in motion.

Sophisticated and fashion forward, one can embrace this shift towards prints with a single skirt or shirt or you could push all style parameters by opting for a fully printed suit.

Are you overwhelmed by this inundation of printed pieces,
Or is this a trend you could warm up to?

Wowsers! Pattern overload! My kinda print party! Love the baroque set best...I've been eyeing all these candy colors in the haute couture runways it's great to see them translated for everyday ready-to-wear! Now I just gotta find the perfect party to rock them!

Would love to get your thoughts on my most recent hotel renovation when you get a chance! Hope to see you soon!

Hi Sam! Wow, it's been such a busy summer for me with moving and renovating the house ... catching up with my blogging buds! Wow, you're right, pattern pattern everywhere! I think my favorite of the pieces shown would be the first dress ... not too little or too much ... just right! ;) Hope you're having a nice summer! ~xoSM

Oh gosh...I can't even explain how much I like prints! They make shirts and bottoms so much more interesting. It's almost like once you go print, you can't go back. Except, the solids are all so classy too. Ahh, they all look so good! XD
This is such a superb collection - the colors are so lovely. :)

Wow, these are pretty intense!! I like them but don't think I could pull them off...

Actually I guess maybe just half an outfit could work on me, like the skirt in row #3 with a cute plain white top, or the top in row #4 with some skinnies.

Hmm, I shall keep my eyes peeled for this trend here in Hong Kong Sam, thanks for the heads up!

I've never really experimented much with print but will definitely be getting a few pieces here and there this season - it is such a nice trend (in moderation though I think).

My favourite set above is the third one - the green and purple tones are lovely together!

I looooove prints though to be honest I can't pull the whole head to toe look (le sigh) and it does take a keen eye to put an ensemble together perfectly so that it resembles something of a masterpiece rather than a hot mess!

Have a lovely day!

Though they remain to be so in vogue, I'm still a moderate wearer of prints. As for this label you present, I detect many references here (Givenchy, McQueen, Dries, etc), which doesn't mean I don't like their proposal. They are good!
Have an amazing rest of the week, Sam!

wow I simply love the way you've described this collection here! I especially love the second last line, with the orange and blue oriental-inspired pieces. Prints are easy to go overboard on, so I think I'll start off with a top/blazer/skirt and keep the rest simple there! :)
